What to know before editing PDF text

Can I edit text in a scanned PDF?
Not as existing text. A scanned page is an image, and VixPDF does not run automatic OCR yet. You can add new text or a visual cover, but the photographed words remain part of the image.
Will the original PDF font be preserved?
VixPDF first tries the font embedded in the PDF, then an included, local, or user-provided font. If the original font cannot be used safely, the editor shows the substitution before export.
Does editing happen online or on my device?
The interface is online, but the PDF is parsed, edited, and exported in this browser. VixPDF has no endpoint for uploading the document to its server.
